Ashley M. McCombs - MA, LPC, NCC

Have you felt distracted lately or an overwhelming sense of dissatisfaction? Do you find yourself constantly thinking about all the things you want to change? Whether you are struggling with a particular issue, or just can not shake the feeling that there should be more to life--you have the power to say: This is not how the story is going to end.

My goal as a therapist is to help you find your own current strengths and coping strategies. Together we will build upon the strategies that work and create new ones to replace those that do not. I believe the solutions to your struggles will be found in your insights, knowledge and self-exploration. Through the examination of who you are and what you believe comes great peace, clarity, and self-confidence. My goal is to help provide you with the insights & tools you need to grow as an individual.

My own experiences in life are what fueled my desire to pursue a career as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Slippery Rock University and my Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Waynesburg University. I am also recognized as a Nationally Certified Counselor. Currently, I am an adjunct faculty member at Robert Morris University teaching undergraduate courses within the School of Education and Social Sciences Department. Additionally, I have published research that was presented in 2008 at the International Conference of Disordered Eating as well as the Association for Women in Psychology Annual Conference.

As you begin to embark on this journey, know that you are not alone. Our purpose at My Life Counseling is to stand by you every step of the way.
